GONAL-f contains a medicine called “follitropin alfa”. Follitropin alfa is a type of “Follicle Stimulating Hormone” (FSH) which belongs to the family of hormones called “gonadotropins”. What if I don't use Gonal F?
Do not use GONAL-f if you notice any visible signs of deterioration, if the liquid contains particles or is not clear. The medicine must be administered immediately after preparation. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use.
Is Gonal-F A recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)?
GONAL-F is a prescription medicine containing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). is allergic to recombinant human FSH or any of the ingredients in GONAL-F. See the end of this leaflet for a complete list of ingredients in GONAL-F. has a high level of FSH in your blood that show your ovaries (women only) or testes (men only) do not work at all.
What is Gonal-F ® multi-dose?
Gonal-f ® Multi-Dose contains follitropin alfa, which is similar to the human hormone 'follicle stimulating hormone'; the abbreviation is 'FSH'. FSH belongs to the group of hormones associated with human reproduction. In women, FSH causes the ovaries to produce eggs. In men, FSH causes sperm production.
What is Gonal F used for?
What GONAL-f is used for In adult women, GONAL-f is used: to help release an egg from the ovary (ovulation) in women that cannot ovulate and that did not respond to treatment with a medicine called “clomiphene citrate”.
What is Gonal-F?
Gonal-F is used to treat infertility in women who cannot ovulate. Gonal-F is not effective in women with primary ovarian failure (when the ovaries are unable to produce an egg). Gonal-F is also used in men to stimulate sperm production.
How is Gonal F presented?
GONAL f is presented as a powder and solvent for injection. The powder is presented in 3 mL vials (Type I glass), with rubber stopper (bromobutyl rubber) and aluminium flip-off cap. The solvent for reconstitution is presented in 2 mL pre-filled syringes (Type I glass) with a rubber stopper.
