What does GHI approved mean?

The famous GHI Approved logo appears on everything from slow cookers and hair tools to air fryers and mattress toppers. It's a rare thing; a truly independent sign of a product's ability to do what it promises.

How does GHI work?

Some products, such as cleaning solutions and mattress toppers, are also sent to our panel of consumers to try at home, so we can get real-world data. Every product is given a final score, with those that achieve over a certain number (pre-set by our testing team) earning the GHI Approved logo.

Where is GHI tested?

Today, at the GHI's state-of-the-art testing facilities in Feltham, West London, our specialist team tests thousands of products a year across four key categories: homes, beauty, health and leisure, and food and drink. What does GHI Approved mean?

Who are GHI's wine & spirits experts?

The GHI's wine and spirits experts – all WSET trained – also test hundreds of bottles a year to find the best on the market. They try the latest wines and spirits – all blinded to avoid brand bias – and give us feedback on appearance, aroma, flavour and mouthfeel.

What is GHI approved?

Our GHI Approved initiative is an unbiased, independent endorsement only for products that pass our consumer Quality Assessment tests. The GHI Approved logo provides strong brand acclamation, backed by rigorous expert testing and can be used by manufacturers and retailers to provide a clear ‘permission to purchase’ message to consumers.

What products have the GHI approved logo?

The GHI Approved logo appears on almost 200 products and services, all tested by the experts at the GHI. Current and past bearers of the logo include electricals and cookware from Tefal and Panasonic; own brand cleaning products from Aldi and Lidl; and food and drinks from Crosse & Blackwell and Martin Miller’s Gin.
