AncestryDNA results include an ethnicity estimate and a list of DNA matches—people who are likely related to you. These results are a good starting point for more family history research, and they can help you to dig deeper into research you’ve already done. AncestryDNA uses microarray-based autosomal DNA testing.

AncestryDNA testing can help you learn where your distant ancestors were from as well as who your family is today. And no matter where it leads, it’s a story you’ve always carried with you. *Some DNA features may require an Ancestry subscription.

Are my AncestryDNA® results mailed?
AncestryDNA® results are not mailed. To find your AncestryDNA results: Find my results (Or click the DNA tab twice). If your results are ready (and you're signed in to the correct account), you’ll see a page with these sections: Traits, Origins, DNA Matches, and ThruLines™. Select Origins to view your ethnicity estimate.
